A fashion-focused photo series inspired by style codes of the mid-2000s, drawing from Victoria Beckham’s early WAG era, chav culture and the hyper-feminine aesthetics of British fashion at that time. I explore themes of class, performance, and self-presentation through playful styling, staged poses, AUTHENTIC DECOR and nostalgic visual textures by using a Canon EOS 350D. I feel very connected to this piece as it sparks a lot of nostalgia for me, from when I was a child goggling in awe whilst my older cousins got ALL dolled up. Low-rise denim, velour tracksuits, oversized sunglasses, and glossed lips were parts of a much bigger cultural identity FOR WOMEN.
