I'm a BRISTOL-BASED freelance photographer, filmmaker and journalist exploring underground culture, DIY SPACES and both written and VISUAL STORYTELLING.

I’m Taryn Fraser and I’m a freelance creative based in Bristol. My work centres around people and their environments and as a naturally curious and observant person, I’m drawn towards underground scenes and subcultures that are often overlooked and underrepresented as well as independent spaces and DIY approaches. With a background in Media Production I primarily work with 35mm and digital photography, short-form film, and journalism. My work explores themes like identity, youth culture and everyday surrealism. My journalistic practice documents underground music, independent creatives and social themes, always with the aim to reflect the communities I am engaging with. I’m driven by the entire process of storytelling – from the energy of interviewing and connecting with people to the experimentation and playfulness of post-production.
